Nisala Center for Energy and Consciousness Studies is part of the Nisala foundation trust and was set up in early 2014 as a non-profit organisation.
The Center is situated atop a hill overlooking the Knuckles mountains range in Ududumbara, Sri Lanka, surrounded by the Victoria-Rantambe forest reserve, paddy fields, and an ancient village; it is a fitting location for a spiritual getaway.
Over the years, Nisala has gained a reputation for the quality of teaching, as well as its overall management, which is headed by its founder and teacher, Acharin G. Wijenayake, and helped by a dedicated team of practitioners and staff.
The teaching of the Centre takes a secular standpoint in its approach to teaching. This is due to the understanding that systems of practices within enlightenment traditions can be understood in terms of their core aspects, i.e., consciousness and energy based principles, and applied to gain results devoid of their cultural or dogmatic aspects, that can have a profound impact on most practitioners. Here this understanding is further informed by a broad outlook that admits and encompasses the non-dual and the trans-personal asapects of such practices.
Nisala specialises in residential silent meditation retreats that it hosts each month for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. The retreats are well regulated and attendees are given hour-by-hour guidance by Acharin, and one on one guidance where necessary.
The teacher at Nisala international meditation center, Acharin, also employs the webinar platform over the internet to teach, with weekly teachings that are popular among many seekers across the world.
